High School Diploma Subject and Course Requirements
Credits Required for Graduation: 42*
The following courses are required to earn a high school diploma. All courses at the Audeo Charter School are aligned to California State Content Standards.
English Languages Arts: 8 semester credits
- Grado 9 Ingles
2 credits - Grado 10 Ingles
2 credits - Grado 11 and 12 Ingles
4 credits – 1 credit in a course that emphasizes American Literature and 3 credits from a prescribed list of
Matematika: 6 semester credits
- Alhebra
2 credits - Heometrya
2 credits - Additional Course
2 credits
Agham: 4 semester credits
- Lupa Science, Pisika, or Chemistry
- 2 credits
- Agbuhay
2 credits
Visual & Performing Arts
Includes courses in art, music, drama/theater arts, and public speaking
Practical Arts
Includes courses in business education, consumer and family studies, industrial education, vocational and occupational programs, instructional television, journalism and yearbook
School To Career and Service Learning: 2 semester credits
- Option A2 credits of Regional Occupational Program (ROP)
- Option B2 semesters of Service Learning
Computer Literacy Competency: 1 semester credit
Students can fulfill this requirement in one of three ways:
- Completion of a computer education course
- Completion of an approved course that incorporates computer education and computer applications
- Test out
Senior Exhibition
All seniors at Audeo Students must complete a Senior Exhibition Portfolio and Presentation. The title for this course is Introduction to Careers 2.
Senior Orientation
Students graduating from Audeo Charter School must attend a senior orientation with a parent/guardian in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)
Passing both the English Language Arts and Mathematics portions of the CAHSEE.
*42 units are required to be completed. May be earned by completing additional courses in the above areas or through elective courses completed in other areas such as physical education.
