Compensation information for Teachers at Audeo: - All teachers begin as an hourly employee at the rate of $28.11 per hour, and are paid on a monthly basis. After satisfactory completion of 1000 hours service (about six months), the teacher's position may be converted to monthly employee status.
- As a monthly employee, teachers are eligible for sick leave and health benefits (medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and life insurance). Teachers will be placed on the Audeo Charter School salary scale based on education (academic transcripts) and experience (employment history/verification) as evaluated by Audeo.
- Audeo’s employment year is from July 1 to June 30. Teacher contracts are essentially for 12-month/228 contract days. (Traditional schools generally contract their teachers for 10 months/187 contract days.)
- Employment is contingent upon submission of satisfactory proof of identity, legal authorization to work in the United States, valid California credential (or eligibility), fingerprint and tuberculosis clearance. Upon acceptance of an employment offer, Audeo human resources staff will schedule an appointment for signing the employee contract and several other documents required to establish an employee within our organization. Prospective employees must personally present original documentation that establishes identity and employment eligibility including California drivers license, social security card, and California credential.
- Charter Agreement Teachers are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement or California State Education Code provisions governing terms and conditions of employment. This paragraph is intended to only address employment issues for charter agreement teachers.
