Why Audeo Charter School?
Many students perform better working independently and taking one class at a time. Audeo is designed for those students in grades six through twelve who seek this alternative to the traditional approach to education. Audeo's implementation includes a successful model of collaborative learning, teaching across the curriculum, self-paced lessons, and year-round open enrollment based on a university model that students find attractive.

The independent study model is supplemented with workshops, guest speakers, tutoring, and field trips that provide skills development, career exploration, higher level thinking skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and enrichment of the core curriculum.

Students must acquire specific skills including the ability to read, write, compute, speak, ask questions, solve problems, and work independently and in teams. They must also be proficient in use of technology, effective time management, performance accountability, wellness, and relating comfortably to others. Enforcing positive character traits such as knowing right from wrong, respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness, justice, compassion, courtesy, integrity, loyalty, and courage are an integral part of the Audeo program.

Audeo reflects cutting-edge theories and practices that require teachers, administrators, and other school leadership to become involved in reform experiences. Audeo teachers have designed a curriculum that meets the learning needs of each student and is aligned with California State Course Requirements. The curricula is created to appeal to all learning modalities and delivered via multiple methods.
