Audeo's Personalized Education
When students enroll at Audeo, an educational team is created to encourage and support them toward their academic goals. A personalized Education Plan (PEP) is introduced by the learning center teacher. The student, parent/guardian, and teacher complete the planning with a discussion about the student’s learning styles, short and long term goals, current interests, academic history/credits earned, career interests, character education, skills development, and standardized test scores.
Following the initial meeting, students and parents/guardians then attend weekly meetings with the teacher. The purpose of these meetings is to turn in assignments, issue new courses, receive tutoring, complete required paper work, arrange additional time in the learning center to study or attend workshops, and keep the parents involved with their children's education. Other topics of discussion are academic progress towards the objectives of the PEP plan, evaluation of continuing enrollment at Audeo, completion of a diploma, CHSPE, or GED, and/or planning for post high school. Maintaining continuous communication among all members of this educational team is critical for the success of the child.

The primary support person is the classroom teacher who becomes fully acquainted with all his or her students, their families, and the other factors that affect their lives. These interpersonal relationships serve as the foundation for individualizing the educational program. Teachers have access to information of numerous non-profit public and private community agencies and other resources, as well as those provided by the Audeo Support Services (i.e., nurse, site coordinator, resource specialist, college advisor) to use for intervention strategies that will improve the quality of life for the student, their families, and the community at large.
